Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about booking, turnaround times, and our services.
01 — Booking & Scheduling
Booking & Scheduling
How do I book and schedule a shoot?
Booking and scheduling are handled nearly simultaneously during the checkout process. Visit the booking portal at portal.arclightphotography.com, choose your preferred date and package, and complete checkout in just a few minutes — no phone tag, no back-and-forth.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least 48–72 hours ahead to secure your preferred time slot. For weekend shoots or busy listing seasons, 5–7 days out is ideal.
What areas do you serve?
ArcLight serves the greater Portland metropolitan area and surrounding communities. Properties that require more than 20 miles of travel will have a travel fee. Not sure if your property is within range? Reach out and we’ll confirm quickly.
02 — Packages & Pricing
Packages & Pricing
What packages do you offer?
I offer three tiered bundles — Basic, Plus, and Pro— each scaled to fit different listing needs and budgets. Head to the Pricing page for a full breakdown of what’s included. Pricing will vary with interior square footage and lot size.
Basic Tier Bundle includes MSL-ready high dynamic range photography
Plus Tier Bundle includes Basic Tier photography, along with 2D Floor Plans and a 3D Virtual Tour
Pro Tier Bundles includes ALL Plus Teir services, along with Aerial (Drone) photography
Can I add services to a bundle?
Absolutely. Any add-on can be stacked onto any bundle tier at checkout — just select what you need when placing your order. There’s no need to contact us separately.
03 — The Shoot
The Shoot
How many photos are included in each Bundle Tier ?
Generally, 20-50 photos. The number of photos included varies from property to property, but rest assured that no matter the property size, the listing will be shot to completion, even if that means 100+ photos.
How long does a shoot typically take?
Most residential shoots wrap up in 1–2 hours, depending on the property size and package selected. Larger or more complex properties take a bit longer — I’ll give you an accurate estimate at booking.
Do I need to be present during the shoot?
It’s helpful but not required. I just need access to the property. If you won’t be on-site, make sure to provide a lock box code, or other means of entry. Please be sure that the property is shoot-ready before I arrive.
How should I prepare the property?
A clean, decluttered space always photographs best. Clear countertops, remove personal items, working light fixtures should have working light bulbs. The better the prep, the stronger the final images. I do some tidying to show the property in its best light, however properties with excessive clutter or other debris will be shot “as is”.
04 — Delivery & Editing
Delivery & Editing
When will I receive my photos?
Edited photos are typically delivered within 24 hours of the shoot. If you’re on a tight deadline, mention it at booking and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
What format will my photos be delivered in?
Photos are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs via an online gallery link sent to your email. Files are sized and optimized for both MLS uploads and print use.
Can I request re-edits?
Yes. If something doesn’t meet your expectations, reach out within 48 hours of delivery and I’ll make it right. Client satisfaction isn’t a policy — it’s the standard.
05 — General
General
What if the weather is bad on shoot day?
I keep a close eye on the forecast and will reach out if conditions aren’t suitable. Weather rescheduling is always at no charge — we’d rather wait for the right light than deliver photos that don’t do your property justice. Additionally, aerial photography is constrained by weather conditions (like heavy wind, heavy rain and low cloud ceilings) set by the FAA. Cancellation fees do not apply to shoots that are rescheduled due to weather.
Do you offer virtual tours or video?
I currently offer Zillow 3D tours and hope to add video tours in the near future!
